Linking text from an embedded sreadsheet cell
Hi Everyone
I hope someone can help me... I have an embedded spreadsheet in a word document and I want to be able to copy the contents of a cell into another part of the document (within a table) whereby it will automatically update when the spreadsheet is updated. Can anyone explain how to do this please (if possible) thanks greatly Sph |

Hi sph,
In theory, you should be able to do this by copying the cell, then using Paste Special with the 'Paste Link' option. In practice, it seems the links often don't work properly (at least, not in previous Word versions). Your purpose might be better served by having an external Excel workbook and linking the relevant cells from that to both locations in your Word document - this does work reliably.
