I created a letterhead in illustrator(cs). How do I import it using MS Word, and convert to a template ?

Also, how would I convert a .pdf to MS Word. The pdf to Word conversion trial versions have come up way short of my expectations (eg. my gradients would become a solid black bar, the formatting was poor)

Anyone know a good .pdf to Word converter ?
