Factory Settings
Is there a way to reset all Word options to original (factory) settings ?

Hi Nugget,
Most of them can be re-set by deleting Word's 'Normal' template. To see where it's kept, go to Word Options|Advanced > File Locations > User templates. You'll need to close Word and use Windows Explorer to do the deletion. Beyond that, you can try re-setting Word's registry settings, via the Windows Start|Run box, with: winword /regserver

Hey Macro,
Found the NORMAL template and deleted. However, it did not reset the options. Sadly, in a rant one day, I unchecked ALL options. :-( Now, that I'm calmer, I'd like to hhave the check boxes back. Tried your Plan B with no success. Lar |
