Breaking links in Office 2007
I created charts at home in Excel and used them in a Word document. In the Word file, I had captions for these charts and crosslinked to references in the body of the Word document's text. I saved these files to my thumb drive, took them to work, did some editing and when I went to refresh, I got an invalid link message. Went to Edit Links and removed the ones in the list. The crosslinks that referenced the figures went away, but it still gave me linking error when trying to refresh, even when I reestablished new crosslinks at work.
Is there a way to paste charts into a standalone Word documents where there is no link to the Excel file, so that when I make my crosslinks, there is no referencing problems when I move the Word file to a different location?
