Hi All,



As above, when i click print word crashes and recovers document. Cannot print preview either. Does the same in safe mode.

Please help.

Hi Antony,

Do you have issues with any other prgrams (eg Excel)?

Check that your printer is properly installed and set as the default.

It might alse be worthwhile running the MS Word diagnostics (Help|Detect & Repair).

No issues printing from any other office applications, i have reinstalled office and still no luck. The printer is on a network and there are no issues. I cannot even get as far as selecting a printer it crashes when i click file print.

Reinstalling rarely fixes anything that a repair won't. Forcing Word to rcreate its Normal template and to clear & re-write its registry keys may help.

To do the former, quit Word, locate the Normal template and delete it. Its location is available in Word, under Tools|Options|File Locations > User Templates.

To do the latter, quit Word, then go to Start|Run and input:
winword /unregserver
when that has executed, input:
winword /regserver

If that doesn't work, try the approaches suggested here:

for various series of troubleshooting steps that will help you track down (and hopefully solve) the problem.
