Troubles with Mongolian fonts

Hello-



I'm trying to help a friend open a document that was written in a cyrillic Mongolian font. Currently it appears in what looks like english characters with accents and is not legible. This friend would prefer to be able to read and type in the cyrillic mongolian script. We are having trouble getting this to work.

The fonts were installed. I've tried adding the keyboard layout in windows. I've tried selecting the language in word. Still not having luck. Any suggestions or insight would be much appreciated.
