Default how do I remove these "page setup" marks?

Hi

I recently reinstalled Word 2002 on my computer. Apparently, by default, along with the installation, there are these strange looking marks, on the corners of the page(4) that resemble an incomplete square. Now, when I double click on them, "Page setup" pops up. I would only like to know how to uncheck this feature, even though it doesn't come out if I print it.
Thank you

Paulo
