Hi Rahul,
It looks like you've configured Heading 3's numbering to appear, but not the numbers inherited from the previous level (Heading 2) and, instead, you've typed in the '.1.1' that now follows the heading number. You probably also don't have Heading 3 configured to restart on a change to the previous level. Attached is a document with the properly structured multi-level list numbering. Edit your document's multi-level list numbering so that it's the same.

Hi Rahul,
Well, I suppose that's some progress, at least. See: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...010065017.aspx http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...numbering.html http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Numbering/...gNumbering.htm

Now i have almost fixed all the problems, few problems are still haunting me :-(
· When i am trying to change the font of Heading2,error message id displayed "The number must be between 1 and 600".I am entering 1.1. · For chapter 6 numbering is 6.1.1-6.1.15 but after chapter 7 it is 7.1.16 but I want to be 7.1.1.How to modify this? |

Assuming the numbers represent the first 3 number levels in the multi-level list numbering system, you need to edit the multi-level list numbering so that level 3 re-starts after a change in the level 2 numbering.
