compatibility between Word 2007 & 2010
Hi folks
I've got a query regarding the compatibility between Word 2007 and Word 2010. We have a user using Office 2010 that input an image into a Word document using Macros, however when the document is opened by someone using Word 2007 the image is displayed differently. In 2010 there was a glow around the image which has been lost when viewed in 2007. Some of the text in the image also appears to be aligned differently. I was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this and whether or not there are some settings that have to be adjusted in order for someone to view this image correctly in Office 2007? I'm also wondering if it could be an issue due to the image being an Add-in? FYI Macros have been enabled on the computer using Word 2007. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks OTI |

Hi OTI,
If the documents are being viewed on different PCs, then the difference in the appearance of images is likely to be hardware-related. As for the text alignment, Word uses the attached printer's driver to determine the text layout on the page. Because different printer drivers have different capabilities, document layouts reflect those differences. I doubt that the macros have anything to do with either issue.
