Word and Outlook Error....
When Word is opened and I want to print an envelope, I click on envelope and then select outlook profile (has about 500 names, addresses, emails, etc.)
When I select a name and click OK...........I get an error that word is not working and Microsoft is trying to solve the problem. It runs for about 1 minute and then word shuts down. The only way I can get addresses for the envelope is to type them in Word and they automatically put in the envelope window when opened. Any help how to correct this error or re-build Word/Outlook (not sure where the error lies). They each work properly when run separately. Running Win 7 Home Premium and Word/Outlook 2010. Also, posted in Outlook thread. Thanks for the usual help. Last edited by dssxxxx; 04-04-2011 at 12:49 PM. |

Hi dssxxxx,
Have you tried repairing your Office installation? To do that, run the install DVD and select Repair.

I thought I had done that prior but went and ran the repair function again. Still cannot get Outlook to work with Word for doing envelopes. Any other suggestions? Thanks. Last edited by dssxxxx; 04-06-2011 at 06:03 AM. |

Hi dssxxxx,
What does Acrobat have to do with a Word/Outlook error and why would you use Acrobat for printing envelopes? Have you tried repairing your Acrobat installation?

Hi dssxxxx,
Are there any error codes associated with Word's failure to get the Outlook data? Do you have any Word Addins that might be interfering with the process (you previously mentioned Acrobat, the Pro version of which typically runs as a Word Addin)? You can start Word without any addins/macros via 'winword.exe /a' from Start|Run. Does it work if you run Word in its 'safe' mode (eg 'Winword.exe /safe' from Start|Run)? Re-registering Word & Outlook in Windows might also help resolve the problem: winword /regserver outlook /regserver from Start|Run
