See "Turn the snap to grid and snap to object options on or off" in the Excel, PowerPoint or Word help files - press F1 (for help) then input 'snap to grid'.

Hi dee3489,
Posting essentially the same question repeatedly, as you did the other day, and doing the same with replies isn't going to get you an answer any quicker - it's more likely to cause annoyance and no help. It would also help if you used the normal terminology so that people might understand what you're posting about. What you're describing has nothing to do with a so-called 'snap' feature. If you want to arrange Word document windows so that they're side-by side, Choose View|Arrange All, then click 'Side by side'.

Got yourreprimand. I was stupid and did not read all of the directions. Have used the side by side document using the view. Not what I want. Can do the side by side on my laptop but not the PC. You just slide one document to one side and snap it and the other document to the other side and snap it. Was hoping there was a setting that I was missing on my PC that I have on my laptop.

Hi dee3489,
I still don't know what you mean by a 'snap' function - I've used Word for well over a decade and have never encountered a feature so described. The only other thing I can think of that might affect the side-by-side display in Word 2007 is checking/unchecking the 'Show all windows in the taskbar' option under Word Options|Advanced > Display.

Snap in Windows
I believe the questioner is referring to Windows 2007's snap feature, though why it would not work with Word eludes me.

OK, but that's not a Word function. The first thing to check is whether it words with the Windows logo key +Left Arrow or Windows logo key +Right Arrow.
There have been a number of reports of problems with this feature (which is a Windows feature, not a Word feature), due to application issues. Repairing Word might help (Word Options|Resources|Diagnose), as might re-registering Word with Windows via Star|Run and inputting: winword /regserver
