Default Mac: Problem creating hyperlinks

Hello everyone.



I am trying to create a hyperlink in my word document and export it to PDF, but when I export it to PDF, the link does not work.

I created the link using the "Insert" menu, > 'hyperlink'. I input the link in the link field and the text in the text field. The link then appears in the word document.

When I print as PDF, the link appears to be there because the text is underlined and blue, but nothing happens when I click on it.

Interestingly, if I use the link URL in the text field, the link works.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

How are you exporting to PDF?

Thanks for your response. I am exporting by: print > PDF

So when I choose "print" I then select the "PDF" option.

I have had some inconsistent results on my end when going from Word 2007 to PDF. But I was able to convert the links to hyperlinks in the PDF by going to Advanced > Document Processing > Create links from URLs.

I am having a similar problem. If I type the web address in in my Word Doc then the link is active when I create my PDF. If I create a hyperlink via the 'Insert' option then it is inactive when I export. I need to do it this way as I want to give the hyperlink a different title as the address looks a bit messy strung out across the page. Whereas my email address that is on the same PDF page is active when I export.

I am exporting through the Print option to create a PDF, I've also tried creating a postscript file then using Acrobat Distiller, as well as saving my doc through word as a PDF, the final out come does not change!
