Default fields

Has anyone used the following menu option in Word 2010

Insert - Quick Parts - Field.

Can I use the above to do a repetitive task in word. I have a word file which has some words that are repeated. I want something that in enter the word only once in the document and it should reflect on rest of the required places in the document.

Does anyone know how to do it. Please help!!!!!!

Default Question?

Your explanation is not clear enough for me to understand your problem. It sounds as if fields are not your answer, but, instead, a Find and Replace action.
