Change Multiple Documents from US to UK language
Hi everyone, (you are my last resort)
I am currently using Microsoft Word 2010 and any new documents I create always use the UK language setting, which is great. However I have been given a list of 72 word documents from someone and each one I open checks for US spelling and grammar so words like colour are spelt color which is no good for me to use as I am Primary school teacher. So rather than go into each one and manually change it to use UK language, is there a way of changing them all together? Thanks |

Hi swifty,
You'll need to change each document, as the language settings are stored in the documents themselves. If you record a macro that selects the whole of a given document (eg Ctrl-A) then changes the language setting, and assign the macro to a keyboard shortcut, that will help you to expedite the process for each document.
