Why unable to use underscore in microsoft word styles( user defined)?
I wanted to convert a microsoft word to html with my own styles.
1. New Word Document - Typed some content 2.Cntrl + Shift + S for Applying styles 3. Type my_style ( New Style) and modify 4. save document as document.html/(or)htm 5. open html in any browser 6. View Page Source. 7. In the styles, underscore is missing ie instead of my_style mystyle is shown What is the reason for this. I have a lot of styles with underscore. How to use it in html from word? can anyone suggest! Thanx in advance |

Hi noufalcm,
The dropped underscore may be due to the fact that underscore characters represent word separators in some contexts and might not be handled correctly by all web apps when used to define style names. If so, this is more of an HTML issue than a Word issue.
