Default Why are images so big when inserted into Word?

Does anyone know if there's a way to insert images into Word so they display the same size as Photoshop or IrfanView? I can edit an image in Photoshop and then click "Show actual pixels" to make sure it's the right size. Then when I save it and insert it into Word it displays about twice the size it did in Photoshop, then I have to adjust the size all over again. Normally it's not a big deal, but if there are a lot of images and I want them all to all be the same size, this extra step becomes a royal pain. Please help.
