Default Columns and headers

I am trying to create a 5 column landscape document using our logo as the header and our address as a footer. I just can't figure out how to do this...

Default 5-col doc

Assuming Office 2010 to be roughly similar to 2007, you first need your page set-up option for the landscape orientation, which should be on the Page Layout tab, Orientation. On the same tab you'll find Columns.

To open the header and footer, double-click in the margin space at the top of the page. You can paste your copied logo and address in where you like, or type the address in the footer by placing your cursor there. Align left, center, right, or otherwise just as you would type/graphics in the page area. Double-click in the page area to get out of the header/footer.

Best,
Ulo

Thanks Ulo. My problem is not in configuring my page as landscape or with headers/footers. It is using headers/footers when using columns. At what point do you instruct the layout that you want 5 columns. The header just doesn't want to be centred in a column...

Default Still unclear

Sorry for the semantic problem, but I'm still unclear. Do you want a heading that stretches over the five columns, or a heading over each column? Different solutions are available, depending on your needs. as for the "footer,"
which is something you evidently want in the text area of the page, below the columns, is this also supposed to center over the full page width?

Found this topic in a search. I'm looking to do the first bit you mentioned - Have a heading (restaurant logo) that stretches over multiple columns (my menu). I'm also trying to figure out how to add boxes/lines for visual separation. So far I've just been drawing them myself and lining them up as best I can. Is there a better way to create borders on one or more of the edges of my columns?

Thanks for your time and effort.

Look into Tables which can have borders for some cells and not others.
