![]() Anytime I try to search in Word 2007 (12.0.6545.5000) SP2 MSO I get the message, "The search item was not found." This just started happening today and is happening with all documents. I'm not searching in text boxes, it's a normal font, no text is selected, I don't have the any of the "whole words", "match case", etc options selected. Even searching for "a" fails! This has been working for years and today, it doesn't. This is true with all documents, even new documents. E.g., I can choose File | New, type "this", search for this, and it fails. I've tried changing styles (e.g., to Normal). I'm a power user (five computers, author, etc). Any ideas? Thanks! |

Hi Sachelis,
Have you tried repairing Word (Word options|Resources|Diagnose)?

A reboot fixed it. Very strange, but glad it's working again.
