In my word document I made a line across the page by pressing the shift key and the underscore button until it went almost all the way across the page. When I typed after it, a solid dark line appeared. It will not go away. I cannot backspace to get rid of it. It will not let me right click on it. What is it and how do I get rid of it

Hi jwcarrollrn,
Click on the 'Border' button on the 'Paragraph' tab and choose the 'no border' option.
