Default Picture gets cropped when inserted in Word 2010

I am using Windows 7 and Office 2010.

When I insert an emf and wmf file in Word (also in PowerPoint), the image gets cropped/truncated on the right and lower part. Any suggestions to correct this?

Hi Iammuffinman,

Are you sure there isn't any corruption in the image file? Does this affect all wmf & emf images? Have you tried repairing Office (eg Word Options|Resources|Diagnose)?

I have tried it on different Windows 7 Office 2010 PCs. I even tried it on a newly installed Win7/Office 2010, but the problem is the same.

I understand that I could resize and recrop the photo to see the whole image. But is there a tweak or modification that I could do, say in the registry to avoid the automatic cropping?
It's not a copying or pasting problem. Actually it is when I "Insert" a photo.

In Word, go to the Insert tab, under the Illustrations group, choose Picture. At this point, I choose an EMF or WMF file, but the picture gets cropped/truncated.

Hi Iammuffinman,

Does this apply to any picture inserted via Insert|Picture, or only emf/wmf files?

What you're descibing about being able to see the picture after resizing suggests part of the picture is disappearing behind something else on the page.

Only EMF and WMF files. Other file types are okay.

Hi Iammuffinman,

I'm wondering if this is a display driver issue. What happens if you insert an EMF/WMF picture, then scroll up/down a page or close & re-open the file? Does the full image re-appear? have you checked the manufacturars' websites for updated display drivers (& printer drivers) for your system?
