Is there an easy way to reference a text string within a document? For example, can a date entered at the top of a document be referenced to appear at multiple locations further into the document? I have tried to use "Paste Special" and sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. It also links it as a image, which is not the best for formatting.

Hi design,
The simplest method is to bookmark (Insert|Bookmark) whatever you want to cross-reference, then insert cross-references to the bookmark (Insert|Cross-Reference) wherever you want. Note that headings created using one of Word's heading Styles, and outline-numbered lists, can be cross-referenced without creating a bookmark.
