Default Outlining a text character

I'm working with Word 2007 and want to print a large text letter with no fill color; only the outline of the character is needed. Having done this in years past, I remember centering a single character on the MS Word document page, and then changing the font size to something like 500. This allows for a single text character per a single 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper.

Once done, I found a drop-down box somewhere in the tools bars which gave me the option of selecting the "outline" of that character instead of a "color".

Thanks for your help.
