Unhappy Edit number of characters per page after writing whole paper

I wrote a paper work for college. It has got 160 pages. Now my professor wants me to edit my paper so that there are 1800-2000 characters(with spaces), and 32 lines on one page.
My question is- how am I supose to make in now, when all my work is done?

I know about word counter, but I think it doesn't help here...right?

Hi dea,

Perhaps the simplest way is to take your word count, divide by 1900. Anything within about +/- 5% of that figure is your page count target.

For essays, universities etc usually have layout specifications that include minimum font size (which you can do via Format|Font), double-line spacing (which you can do via Format|Paragraph) and minimum margin settings (which you can do via File|Page Setup). Ideally, you'd manage the font & paragraph settings via Word's paragraph Styles.

Once you've got the basic layout sorted, you can adjust any of the above parameters (if your professor is 'thingy' about this) to get within the target range.
