I was working on MS word 2007 late one evening and something strange happened.
I copied some data from excel which is automatically in a table format. After i copied some data, i found it exceedingly difficult to make into the layout that i was going for(since the excel borders/margins are different from MS word). However, i tried to make it all fit to one page.

Ill give you an example (my original Layout)



Top US Sales
Canada USA
Canadian Company A NASCA
Canadian Company b ADASDA
Canadian Company c ADSDAS

Top Chinese Sales
North South
Basdasd asdasd
asdasd asd
asd asdasd

Messed up cos of excel layout

Top Chinese Sales(Cannot move to left position at all)

Do you see what i mean? The excel copy and paste data has messed my my layout so much so that i cannot move the "Top Chinese Sales" to the original spot where i intended. I tried everything from the "paragraph to the left button" to backspace. Nothing worked. So i was really frustrated and i kept a hold of "backspace" and i either dragged my mouse over some area or clicked something(i cannot remember).

this area, there came another edit box which had some edit features. It was around the same size and i recall it having the ability to change either font or line spacing etc. Then after a few seconds, the box disappeared. I kept playing around to find this box but i cannot find it!

Does anyone know what it is and how to get to it again???
P.S when the box dissappeared, it smoothly went upwards towards the ribbon area. You know when you drag your mouse over something, a box will smoothly come down (as opposed to sudden appearance).

Perhaps you right-clicked with the mouse while the cursor was positioned within the table?
