'Last edit date'
Windows 7 + Office 2007
Is there a way that I can have something similar to 'document last edited (then any date the document was last saved)' appear in the footer? Mark |

Hi Mark,
Perhaps a SAVEDATE field in the footer will provide what you're after. This will show the date the document was last saved.

Can you point me to the instruction as to how one adds/inserts the named 'field?' <--Disregard. Understand 'Ctrl F9' from your other reply.
Thanks-- Mark |

In general, Insert|Quick parts|Field gets you to the field insertion dialogue box (Keyboard shortcut = Alt-i, f).
