Default How to return to where you left off? Shift+F5 not working.

Hi all, first-time poster here. When I reopen a document, I'd like to get Word 2007 to jump back to the place where I stopped editing. The solution, from what I've read, is to press Shift + F5 but for some reason it doesn't work for me. I've tried leaving the cursor at the place where I want to return and then save the document but that didn't help. I can't really think of what else to do. Does this no longer work with Word 2007, or is there something I'm missing? Thanks a lot.

In version 2007, Shift F5 only works while the doc is open... it doesn't know where you last edited after you close and re-open the file. You might choose to make a bookmark.

It isn't the same thing of course, but are you using the Document Map?

Right on. Bookmarking is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks also for the tip about the Document Map. I wasn't even aware of it. Walt
