List numbering spacing
I have a problem with the stock list numbering templates that are available in the Formatting section of MSWORD. I hate the space distance between the number and the text being numbered; it's too big: "(1)******text-text-text-text." (I had to use * because spaces wouldn't hold in this box.)
I want to close that gap to about two spaces: "(1) text-text-text-text." And have a hanging indent on the second line that begins under the first letter of the first line of the numbered text. Everything I've tried to modify and massage the numbered list templates just doesn't work, I've used up my bag of MSWord tricks, and I haven't seen this question asked before in any of the forums. Any suggestions? Last edited by NepalKat; 12-22-2010 at 04:12 PM. |

Hi NepalKat,
You can fix this by changing your default tab settings. Cheers, Paul Edstein [MS MVP - Word] |
