Default PDF to Word

From Acrobat Reader, you can "Save as text." Either leave it as a .txt file and then copy into Word, or select All files as the type and use the .doc extension in the file name, which will save it as a Word document -- BUT!
you may, when opening the Word doc, get messages telling you that Word can't open a converter. If you press enter when this pops up a couple of times, you may get another dialogue allowing Windows standard language. If you accept this, you may be able to open the doc as such.

Be aware, that conversion from PDF to Word is an inexact science. Various converters are available, some free, some cheap, some very expensive. If you don't have to convert too often, you can live with the option above, but recognize that you will have lot of extraneous paragraph returns to replace with spaces, and so on. Even fancy converters can do everything, in my experience.
