Grouping styles
Hi, Dear Friends! Is there any possible way to group styles (char and paragraphs) in the style pane together that are used frequently in different respective documents? ChatGPT says it can't be done, but it seems like a very intuitive feature that should be possible. Any ideas? Thank you, and have a good day! Susan Flamingo

Yes you can order the styles easily.
You start by assigning a 'recommend number' using Manage Styles. Lower numbers appear at the top of the list and styles which share the same number will be sorted alphabetically. Then you set your style pane options to show the list 'as recommended'.

Just a note for future readers. At this time this ability is not present in Word for the Mac. Word for the Mac will follow preferences set for templates or documents in the Windows version, though.
