Hi All,

I've just noticed that on some lines of text the is a white background (see attached) which obliterates the watermark, how this got there I have no idea.
I can use the Theme colours and go for 'No Color' but I can only do one line at a time.
How much I have to alter I have no real idea since I have 22 volumes with approx. 150 double sided pages in each, about half of which I've printed.

Any help on how to quickly get rid of it would be greatly appreciated.

First, a comment that you might be better off using tables for this formatting.
4. Use Tables and Tabs to Arrange Text in Microsoft Word

If you do not want any shading or background color in your document, select all (Ctrl+A) and then under Borders and Shading click on the Shading tab and select No Color and Clear.

Thanks for that, at least now I can clear a whole block but what truly bugs me is how it happened in the first place as I've never used a background color for text.

This looks like it may have been imported from the web or another application.
Such problems can be eliminated by pasting as plain text.

Formatting anomalies that may not be obvious to the casual glance can often be attributed to scanned documents that go through OCR and text pasted from other programs.
