Unlink Chapter Numbering from Template
I have several documents all based on the same template. They are set to automatically update template style. However each document's heading 1 (there is only one instance per document) has a chapter number associated with it as well. Each document has a different chapter number so when they are combined the chapter numbers are sequential. However, because they are linked to the same template I cannot give them different chapter numbers using Outline Numbers.
So document 1 heading 1 has chapter number 1. Document 2, heading 1 has chapter 2. Document 3, chapter 3 and so on. Is there anyway I can use different chapter numbers for each document so but still maintain the link with the template? |
