The attached contains just these four lines (the original document is cut down to this, still having the error). If I copy the text from that document onto another Word document it looks like this.

When I open both docs they appear to have the same content and the text appears in the same typeface. I don't see any strange typefaces in either doc and copy/pasting doesn't change this.

Perhaps there is an issue with a corrupted font on your machine. Are you able to reinstall the Aptos font? If you choose a different font for the content you just pasted, does it resolve the issue or does it persist?

I agree that the new file (text-copied) looks ok.
But copying from font_error into an empty document still looks bad (see the attached picture). If I change the font in font-error to Times New Roman I can copy without any problems.
Aptos is an Adobe font, requiring license and probably money

You can download Aptos from Microsoft and install it locally on your PC. That has fixed similar problems for other users. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...aspx?id=106087.

I am getting similar results - no problem with the copy and paste from the error file.

I should add that I didn't see a problem with the sample documents, either.
