![]() I think I am losing my mind, but I thought for many years in the past if I right-clicked on a selection in my Word document the menu that would come up would include some of my recent selections (like 'Insert Below', for example). I don't appear to be seeing that now. Is this something that has changed recently and/or if I'm patient it will come back when I build up enough 'cache' of recent actions??? |

I've been using Word for more than 30 years and not seen that.
When typing in the Find window I think I've seen something like that. |

Just to illustrate and clarify my question further: the attachment is a screenshot of what I was referring to. I am in a Word table, and I have the option to right-click on cell contents "2C" and then "Insert->Insert Row Below" (2 mouse clicks). I *thought* there used to be an extension to the menu options to the right of "New Comment" that would allow 1 mouse click to "Insert Row Below" or font change or some other action it noticed I was doing frequently.
I don't doubt your knowledge and appreciate the quick response; I just wanted to see if this illustration clarifies my question enough to spur a different response? |

That is a context toolbar, not the quick access toolbar. Settings will not be of any help.

I found a thread that highlights my issue:
What happened to my mini toolbar??? - Microsoft Community I'm glad to see I am not losing my mind, but sad to see responses indicate the recently used items were taken away from us??? If so, one of the more useful tools for an intense Word user! Last edited by Stefan Blom; 02-24-2025 at 08:12 AM. |
