Question How do delete this auto-created line

If you type in ~~~ and hit enter, then Word will assume you want to extend it all the way across the row, and does it for you.

You leave it there, save, exit.
Some time later you open the file and want to change it. But I see no way to select the row of ~~~ that goes all the way across.

How do I delete it?
