One display or multiple displays?
Take a look at Jay Freedman's utilities. The Macro Zone - Jay Freedman, MVP SoveViewMultiLoc.zip. Read the instructions. |

I have multiple monitors, but always use the same one for Word. I have it sized maximum height, but the width is just big enough to get rid of the slider. I've checked out all of the supposed fixes that I've found googling, but nothing seems to work. Have tried several so-called 3rd party softwares that purport to do exactly what I want, but they don't work either. Very frustrating to have to resize Word every time I open it.

I checked out The Macro Zone and found SaveLocation.dotm that says that it will do exactly what I want, only Word will not allow me to open it due to security reasons. Maybe someone could post the contents of the macro in a simple text program?

Use that one or the SaveViewMultiLoc.
Place it in your Word Startup Folder which should be a trusted location for macros. Again, read the instructions on Jay's website. |
