Question Names for built-in multi-level List Styles in Word

Are there actual given names for each of the built-in multi-level List Styles in Word?
It would make it much easier to write about them if there are.

No. But if you look at the Multi-level list library, you will see that you can simply click on an icon to apply them to all Heading Styles, for example. Easy as.

Thanks Paul, I was just wishing that you could write an instruction such as, "click the icon for "Default Headings" multi-level List Style, then do..." or "click the "Default Article" icon, then do this... ."
Or, "The export config outputs the headings to the "Default Headings" List Style in Word."
If there was a tool tip with a name when you over the icon, it would be great! There is a tool tip when you create a custom multi-level list style.

But there is - it's a simple two-click process...

Hi again Paul,
Unfortunately for me, I'm not seeing any tooltip with a particular name when I apply any of the eight built-in List Styles.
Thanks for your reply.

You are probably not clicking on the multilevel list-numbering button on the Ribbon's Home tab. It seems all you're clicking on is the plain list numbering button.

Simple:
1. Click on the multilevel list-numbering button on the Ribbon's Home tab.
2. Choose a suitable multilevel list-numbering format from the 'List library' to apply the desired numbering scheme to the Heading Styles.

In Word, the list formats shown at Home tab > Paragraph group > Multilevel List do not have any names.

Word does have a few (three, I believe) built-in list styles. Finding them isn't easy, but they are listed in the Manage Styles dialog box for example. See the attached screen shot.

The recommended approach to create stable numbering is to make use of both a list style and also a paragraph style per numbering level. For more, read https://shaunakelly.com/word/numberi...g20072010.html.
