With a document open, if I press Ctrl * , WORD reveals the "Special Characters" - the one of interest is a very small circle - I don't think it is an "o" nor a "°".
The document I am working on has a huge number of them, that I just want to get rid of. I have not the SLIGHTEST idea what it is nor what it represents ! When I try "Find and Replace" > "Special", it offers me lots of names, but the List does NOT show the "Special Character" against the names ! How STUPID is that ???? I don't much care WHAT it's name is, but I know what it looks like. Can YOU tell me what its name is ? Please ? |

Ctrl * reveals non-printing characters and formatting marks.
The character you describe is probably a non-breaking space. |
