Default How to fix pasting from pdf end of line issues?

I'm trying to paste a few paragraphs from a pdf into Word and the end of the lines are not matching up. I've attached a screenshot to illustrate what I mean.

Is there anyway to fix this without having to manually go through to delete the extra space?

Thanks!

Turn on the display of non-printing characters and upload another pic. It is impossible to answer your question without knowing what's in the document.

There are end of paragraph marks that need to be replaced with space characters. But if you just do that, you will lose the paragraph marks that you need, then ones that prevent the doc from being one long hunk of text. Those good paragraph marks are actually doubled, so to preserve them, replace every instance of two paragraph marks together with something that never occurs in the doc... like three z's together. Then replace the remaining paragraph marks with spaces. Then replace the zzz's with paragraph marks.

Here are the steps:
  1. Make a copy of the document for a backup
  2. Replace all 2 paragraph marks together with zzz
  3. Replace all paragraph mark with a space
  4. Replace all zzz with a paragraph mark

  1. Make a copy of the doc for a backup
  2. In the Replace dialog box, click in the 'Find what' textbox and type ^p^p
  3. Click in the 'Replace with' box and type zzz
  4. Replace All
  5. Then click in the 'Find what' texbox and type ^p
  6. 'Replace with' and press the spacebar once
  7. Replace All
  8. Then click in 'Find what' and type zzz
  9. 'Replace with' ^p
  10. Replace All
NOTE: the ^ character is Shift+6

[FONT="Georgia"][SIZE="7"]I wonder if it wouldn’t be wiser to make as a first replacement instead of replacing ^p^p with zzz, replacing “. ^p” with zzz, since that would preserve the paragraphs that follow a period. If you watch the las line of the sample text submitted by action82 there are 2 paragraph marks that would be otherwise preserved.

I don't even see a periods followed by a paragraph mark in the document sample.
Besides, I don't recommend inserting an empty paragraph after each paragraph of text. Instead, edit the style to include space after.
