Hello everyone!
If I press the "f4" key in my Word 2016, Word Help opens (just like when I press "f1"). I have assigned the "f4" key to a macro, but my setting is simply ignored and Word Help continues to open. Does anyone know what I can do? Thank you very much! Lothar (Windows 11, Office 2016, 64 bit) |

Checked to see if I could replicate this and I can't, so it isn't standard behaviour in Word. Therefore, something, or someone, must have assigned F4 to bring up help.
Right click on a blank area of the ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon. In the dialog click the Keyboard shortcuts: Customize button In the Customize Keyboard dialog navigate to the Help Tab in the Categories list. You will then be able to see which keys are assigned and make any necessary edits. |

Thank you very much!
Thanks to your tips I was able to solve the problem. Although I don't have a Help Tab in the Categories list - but I found it another way and deleted the shortcut entry there. Thank you and have a nice weekend! |
