Hey, I'm new to using the developer tab in word. Mostly want to use for worksheets, but might try my hand at macros/coding.
Question: Since I don't know what I'm doing, is there any risk of me wrecking word/causing errors if I mess around with this stuff? Sorry if it's a dumb question. Thanks in advance. |

First, not worksheets, but documents.
Keep backups of your Normal.dotm file. That way, if something goes wrong, you can backup to where it was working. See:
Here is my page about the Developer Tab and the controls on that tab. Also, there is a separate forum here available for vba questions. https://www.msofficeforums.com/word-vba/ |

Experiment with copies of your documents.
There is little risk of damaging Word, itself, by trying things out. |
