Keeping a document permanently open
I have a diary doc but if I leave it say to do other things when I come back it's closed and I've to open it again and go to correct page - any way to keep it permanetly open?

I'm afraid not. However...
You could pin it to your Recents list. You can record a macro opening your document. You could assign a keyboard shortcut or QAT button to the macro. |

Thank you - it's just one of those things which I find annoying - more as I get older When calm I'll try those suggestions - many thanks.

You could also name that macro "AutoExec" and it will run when you start Word.

I will be surprised if your brain is older than mine! Just try recording a macro opening the file. If you want, name the macro AutoExec.
Close Word and restart Word. Does your document open? |
