Default Keeping a document permanently open

I have a diary doc but if I leave it say to do other things when I come back it's closed and I've to open it again and go to correct page - any way to keep it permanetly open?

Thanks

I'm afraid not. However...

You could pin it to your Recents list.
You can record a macro opening your document.
You could assign a keyboard shortcut or QAT button to the macro.

You could also name that macro "AutoExec" and it will run when you start Word.

I will be surprised if your brain is older than mine! Just try recording a macro opening the file. If you want, name the macro AutoExec.

Close Word and restart Word.
Does your document open?
