Default Setting large images to be at top of page following mention

Hello,

I have a document with some large images that take up a significant portion of the page. I'm trying to figure out how to make them appear at the top of the page that follows where I mention them in the text without leaving any blank spaces on the page. That is, I want the text that follows the image-mention to continue to the bottom of the page, then the image on the following page, then the text resumes. There could be several paragraphs between the image and the paragraph where it's mentioned.

To make this work, I need to 'attach' the image to the paragraph where it's mentioned. The anchor doesn't seem to do what I want it to as it keeps the image and text on the same page which results in even more blank space (the mentioning paragraph moves to the image page instead of being on the preceding page), and it also removes the 'keep with next' setting that keep the image and its caption together.

Is it possible to do this in MS Word?
