Hi everyone,
I have a question on Word. I am using Mult-level headings where I have the Heading numbers working throughout the document. I have renumbered my styles bar for "Heading 1" and "Heading 2". However, when I made a "style" to the next level eg 1.1, 1.2 etc it seems to be working, however the first integer (which should be the number of the chapter) is starting from 1. In my first two Chapters, I just need 1 and 2, and then from 3 I need to go into 3.1, 3.2 etc. But from Chapter 3 it starts with 1.1, 1.2 and I am struggling to re-number. I have tried to "update numbering" doesnt work. I have tried to "manually change" the number, but it changes the interger after the . and not before. Help please?? Maybe I need to re-set the style, but there must be a way!! |
