Default Different positions of shape while copying and pasting on even and odd pages in the header

Hi there.

I have an issue with the copying and pasting of items in the Microsoft Word Header.
When I go to the header and tick “Different Odd & Even Pages”, I can’t repeat the position of a shape from an odd page to an even page. When I copy a line (from shape items) from the header of an even page and past it to the header area of an odd page, the line changes its original position. This is problematic for me because I need to have different text on even and odd pages and therefore ticked “Different Odd & Even Pages” and at the same time I need to have a line in the same place on all even and odd pages.

Is there any solution to automatically repeat a line in the same place in the header while “Different Odd & Even Pages” is ticked?

I am using Microsoft Office LTSC Standard 2021.

Ensure that the original shape is positioned in relation to the page (and not to the column or margin) and then try copying and pasting again.

If you want someone in the forum to take a closer look, upload a sample document in a reply in this thread. Remove any sensitive info from the sample first.

Thank You for your response. The problem solved. I was just copying the line (the shape) which was a mistake. Now, I copy the line (the shape) with the empty line (space) above the shape, and past it on the other page, and everything is fine.
