No, I didn't use the AutoCorrect function. I don't recall ever using that function
![]() TO REPLACE STRAIGHT QUOTES WITH CURLY QUOTES 1. In Word 2000, click Edit>Replace.... A Find and Replace dialog box appears. 2. Click the Replace tab and then click in the Find what: field. 3. If Format: Style: appears between the Find what: and the Replace with: fields, click the Format button at the bottom of the dialog box, then click the Style…. A list should appear. 4. Click Style.... A Find Style dialog box appears. 5. In the Find Style dialog box, click (no style) and then OK. There should then be nothing between the Find what: and the Replace with: fields. 6. Click in the Replace with: field and repeat Steps 3, 4, and 5. There should now be nothing below the Find what: and the Replace with: fields. 7. Copy and paste a straight open-quote mark into the Find what: field. 8. Type or copy and paste a curly open-quote mark into the Replace with: field. 9. Click the Replace All button. When the process has completed, click the Replace All button again just to be sure all instances have been changed. When this is completed, both the open-quote and the close-quote marks should all be curly. 10. Repeat this process for the straight apostrophe marks.
