Default Sequencing of styles in the Table of Contents

Hi. I have a document with an automated TOC. The document has main titles this way:

Province
Municipality
Statement of Financial Condition
General Fund

As at December 31, 2023

In the TOC, I would like the "General Fund" to come first before the "Statement of Financial Condition." Is there a work around without re arranging the titles in the document?
Thank you.

Not if you are using Styles to set it up.
A TOC goes in the same order as the document.
You could use a TC field on an earlier page, but then the link in the TOC and page reference would go to the page on which the TC field is, rather than the section.

Why do you want your TOC to be out of order?

My annual financial reports have required titles this way:
Province/Municipality
Statement of Financial Condition
General Fund (Consolidated)
As at December 31, 2023

Province/Municipality
Statement of Financial Operations
General Fund (Consolidated)

Province/Municipality
Statement of Cash flows
General Fund (Consolidated)

Province/Municipality
Statement of Net Assests/Equity
General Fund (Consolidated)

Then there are separate reports for the General Fund 101, Development Fund, Special Education Fund, Trust Fund, Consolidated Reports (All Funds) and so on.

I arranged the TC in the attached images.

What I did was to type at the top of the page "General Fund (Consolidated)" then made it invisible for TC purposes but the invisible fund titles very often get accidentally deleted by other users and by me. The same manner with the other funds and the consolidated reports.

Yes, the late Susan Barnhill's guides is my TC bible.
Thank you.

You could use a TC field marked to not display a page number. It is invisible/hidden but has the same problem as white text.

Suzanne is not "late" and tends to be quicker than I am.

Oh my bad. I'm so sorry. I thought I've read somewhere about prayers for Ms. Suzanne. We have a belief as indigenous peoples that if one was mistakenly announced as "late", that person would live a long, healthy life. Again, I'm sorry..
