Showing but not showing hidden text
Hi friends! Hope you are all well!
Is there a way to have Word indicate in a certain place that there is hidden text even when show hidden characters is not clicked? Like saying to a viewer "Hey pal there is hidden text here, click the show hidden text icon to see my secret Thank you Susan |

No, because that would defeat the purpose of having hidden text. You can always add a comment though.

You can always use the Document Inspector which will spot it.
File > Information I virtually always have the show hidden formatting characters turned on. It makes editing documents much easier. |

Hidden text
Yeah, that I knew but the problem is you cannot insert a comment into the FN area (it is totally beyond me what MSOFT was thinking when they put in this limitation. Like reviewers don't have to review footnotes?!!

You can have a custom reviewing character style which has the font characteristic of hidden.
To reveal everything using that style, modify it to be not hidden. You can search for the style even if it is hidden. |
