Unable to change appearance of footnote font size in Word 2013
The "footnote reference" font is properly set to 12 points in the styles menu, but it appears much smaller in the document, about 6 points. Clicking "reapply" doesn't help.

Is it also set as a superscript? When the superscript setting is turned ON, the characters are raised and made considerably smaller than their font size setting.
