Word file size increases with Save
I just discovered that my resume file has increased in size from when it was established in August, 2010. Originally the August document (saved as *.doc) was 44KB. I recently opened it, deleted one word, and resaved it and the file size jumped to 118KB. I tested this on several other Word files and the same thing is happening. I am lost as to what is causing this. Any ideas?
I am using Word 2007 on an HP pavilion laptop running Windows Vista. Thanks. UPDATE: By saving the *.doc files as *.docx this problem does not occur. Unfortunately no one without Word 2007 and newer can read the files. Last edited by Hollister; 11-05-2010 at 10:17 AM. Reason: Update
